Photoreal detail
Fine thread weave can reproduce small type, thin linework, gradients, and image detail that embroidery would blur or oversimplify.
Ultra-fine thread woven on a loom — not embroidered on a machine. The result is a thin, flat patch that can hold detail an embroidery needle could never reach. Small type stays readable. Photoreal art stays photoreal.
Woven patches are made on a jacquard loom. Hundreds of fine polyester threads cross each other in a tight weave — each thread the size of a human hair. The artwork is created by the pattern of the weave itself, not by stitching on top of a base fabric.
The result is a patch that's thin, flat, lightweight, and capable of detail embroidery simply can't produce. Think Swiss-Army-Knife badges, album-art merch patches, small logo tags.
When woven beats embroidered: small type (down to 4pt), thin lines (down to 0.5mm), fine crosshatching, gradients, subtle color shifts, photoreal details, or any design with a lot of visual information crammed into a small footprint.
When to pick embroidered instead: bold chunky designs, large back patches, high-dimension texture. Woven trades texture for detail — it lays almost flat against fabric.

About 1mm thick — roughly a third of an embroidered patch. Sits flat against fabric, doesn't catch on gear.
Less material, less weight. Ideal for dress uniforms, hats, lapel-style patches, and apparel labels where bulk isn't welcome.
Pantone-matched thread. The weave holds small color areas cleanly, so logos stay tight and type stays legible.
Merrowed or hotcut finishing options, same as embroidered. Sew-on, iron-on, or velcro backing available.
Polyester threads mean the same wash-durable, fade-resistant life as embroidered. Same guarantee.
Album artwork with photo details, tour dates in small type, fine illustration work — all the stuff embroidery would lose.
Tight regulation designs with small text and fine line details. Thin profile keeps uniforms clean-looking.
Woven labels on the inside of shirts, jackets, bags — the classic "woven neck label" use case that started the whole craft.
